He is an expert in farm management, macroeconomics, natural resource economics and development economics at Sokoine University of Agriculture. He did his PhD research in renewable energy economics. He also teaches statistics, farm management and macroeconomics for undergraduate and graduate students, and supervises students in a wide range of topics relevant for rural development for their undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
