Description of MBA evening program

MBA (Masters of Business Management) evening program is a hosted by the Department of Business Management from   School of Agricultural Economics and Business Studies which is school in the  Sokoine University  of Agriculture.

Our Master of Business Administration (Evening programme) degree is designed to develop professionals possessing varied backgrounds, to acquire knowledge and skills of business. The MBA (Evening programme) is the right opportunity for professionals who have no time during working hours who want to acquire business management knowledge and skills.

Objective of MBA (Evening Programme)

Main objective of the programme is to help you to acquire managerial and administrative knowledge related to businesses management. These will include receiving training in the fields of marketing, management, finance, purchasing, market research, trading and exporting, strategic planning and general business administration.

Duration of programme and delivery systems

The duration of the degree program is 2 years (24 months) for full-time registered students . Teaching times are: 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm for week days and 8.30 am to 12.30 pm for Saturdays.

4 years for part time students who registers one module a year.

NB: No candidate will be allowed to extend beyond 6 years.

Who we are looking for

·         A holder of a Bachelor’s degree with Second Class and above. Candidates with a Pass grade who have professional work experience of not less than 3 years

·         Professionals with Bachelor’s degree and having acquired relevant work experience and have taken a postgraduate diploma in Economics and/or business related courses.

·         Advanced diploma in Business from recognized institution having acquired professional work experience of not less than 3 years.

The general regulations and guidelines for higher degrees of Sokoine University of Agriculture shall apply except where indicated.
