Bachelor of Agriculture Investment and Banking (BAIB)

About the programme

This is a full-time (3 years) programme which trains and produce graduates with knowledge and skills in agriculture investment and banking for the possibilities of employing themselves in the agriculture sector as well as develop capacity to undertake research into the social science and problems related to agriculture. The programme is, therefore, designed to develop the knowledge and skills required by those involved in different agricultural activities as currently Tanzania has very few people with investment skills and banking thus the course shall bridge the gap for human resources in investment and development banking.

Mode of Delivery

The delivery of the programme will be face to face contacts, involving lectures, classroom discussions and student-lecturer consultations.

The BAIB programme will be delivered at Sokoine University of Agriculture in Morogoro Municipality.

Fees and funding 

For local students:At the beginning of the Academic Year, all students will be required to produce evidence of having been awarded a Government Bursary from their respective Ministries of Education (if East African) or evidence of Scholarship Awards; otherwise they will be expected to pay full tuition and University fees for one semester, at the beginning of the semester, before they can be permitted to use University facilities.Full tuituion fee can be viewed in our Sokoine Univesity website using this link

How to Apply

Candidates for BAIB  are admitted once every year for an academic year that starts in October of each year.Application for admission can be done through Online application System here. Make sure that all relevant academic and financial documents are attached before final submission is made
