BSU II Pilot Research Workshop

TheCollege of Economics and Business Studies(COEBS) through Building Stronger University phase II (BSU II) conducted a two days workshop that brought researchers and industrial stakeholders together on the 7th and 8th of August 2017 at COEBS conference room. The workshop aimed at

  • Receiving and discussing preliminary findings from six pilot research funded by DANIDA through BSU II
  • Show case research capacity building to young researchers and engagement with stakeholders in addressing industry challenges

The pilot research projects were designed in the project to enhance research capacity among young scholars and especially need to the building of a research culture among young scholar at SUA. The training modality focused in conducting actual research study among young scholars in collaboration with senior researchers at SUA and from Denmark.

Researchers presented to the workshop were Mr. Longo Joseph; his research titled “Awareness and Compliance of the Feed Quality Standard; the case of Chicken Feeds in Tanzania”, Mr. Malaki Charles; research titled “Innovativeness Potential for Women Entrepreneurs case study of Services and Poultry”, Dr. Roselyn Alphonce research titled “Consumer Preference for Processed Food Attributes: Novel vs. other Quality Attributes”, Ms. Judith J. Valerian; research titled “Optimising the circular economy of sisal using LCA”, and Dr. Fasha George research titled “ Sisal Value Chain: Opportunities and Prospects”.
